ALONG THE WHITE ROADS OF THE 2023 GRAVEL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, WITHIN THE UNESCO HERITAGE SITE OF THE PROSECCO HILLS
Sunday, October 18, 2026: Marca Bianca La Epica – A unique journey through white roads and the vineyards of the Prosecco Hills
Marca Bianca La Epica is much more than a cycling event: it is a truly immersive experience through breathtaking landscapes, UNESCO World Heritage scenery, centuries of history, and outstanding wines (because who says an epic ride can’t end with a glass of Prosecco Superiore?).
We have designed two routes created not only to challenge your endurance (well… maybe just a little!), but above all to let you experience the UNESCO Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, the same extraordinary landscape that hosted the 2023 UCI Gravel World Championships.
No stopwatch chasing you, no pressure to perform—just white gravel roads, spectacular scenery, and the pure pleasure of conquering every kilometer, one pedal stroke at a time.
Start in Pieve di Soligo: The Pearl of the Quartier del Piave
The adventure begins in the heart of Italian gravel cycling: Pieve di Soligo, the historic host town of the 2023 UCI Gravel World Championships.
Surrounded by 17th-century villas, elegant historic buildings, and charming streets, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped onto a movie set where cycling heritage meets culture, hospitality, and authentic Italian charm.
Along the Piave River: Gravel Roads and Living History
From Pieve di Soligo to Vidor, the route follows the Piave River plain, alternating fast gravel sections with stunning natural landscapes such as the Fontane Bianche springs.
This stretch is rich in history and remembrance, passing close to symbolic places like Isola dei Morti, where the peaceful silence of nature blends with the memory of the events that shaped Italy’s history.
Into the UNESCO Prosecco Hills
From San Giovanni onward, the route changes character as it climbs into the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Here, every ascent rewards you with unforgettable scenery. One of this year’s highlights is the climb to Col Livei, a genuine test of determination. Reach the summit and, on clear days, you’ll enjoy an extraordinary panorama stretching beyond the rolling hills all the way to the Venice Lagoon on the horizon—a postcard-perfect view well worth every effort.
The Beauty of Le Rive between Colbertaldo and Miane
(Exclusive to the “Le Rive” route)
This is undoubtedly one of the most iconic and scenic sections of the entire event.
You’ll tackle the famous climbs of Le Rive and Tenade, where vineyards are far more than a landscape—they are masterpieces sculpted by generations of winemakers on incredibly steep slopes.
Riding through these terraced hillsides means discovering the true essence of “heroic viticulture,” where tradition, passion, and breathtaking beauty come together in every turn.
The Palù Nature Park: A Journey Through Time
(A signature section of the “La Glera” route)
Cyclists choosing the La Glera route avoid the steepest climbs and instead venture through the Palù Nature Park and toward Patean.
This peaceful oasis offers a welcome escape from modern life. Created through Benedictine land reclamation centuries ago, the park is a unique mosaic of enclosed meadows, ancient waterways, and centuries-old trees.
Cycling here feels like travelling back in time, discovering landscapes whose roots date back to the Neolithic era.
Mondragon and Divigna: The Grand Finale of the “Le Rive” Route
For those seeking an even greater challenge, the final test awaits: the climb to Mondragon.
It’s a demanding ascent that requires determination and strong legs, but rewards every rider with one of the most spectacular panoramic viewpoints overlooking the Prosecco Superiore amphitheater.
From the summit, enjoy a guided descent that is both technical and exciting, winding through the vineyards of Divigna Hospitality, where elegance, nature, and authentic hospitality come together.
Collalto: History Overlooking the Plain
As the route heads back toward Collalto, riders face the climb to Lierza before enjoying the spectacular descent of Cucco.
This unforgettable section crosses the stream and reveals a hidden, wild, and untouched corner of nature that perfectly captures the spirit of the region.
A Timeless Experience
Marca Bianca La Epica is far more than a cycling event.
It is an invitation to discover the history, nature, culture, and food and wine traditions of one of the world’s most extraordinary landscapes.
Every kilometer encourages you to slow down, breathe deeply, and embrace the beauty surrounding you.
And at the finish line, a well-deserved toast awaits.
Because every epic achievement deserves an equally unforgettable celebration.
